#vegansnack oh the joys!!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‹

Today is an important day in my life and it will forever be. Today is the day my grandmother was born and the day she past. It is necessary It is beyond important that every April 18 I pay her the highest respect and show her nothing but love. The first Queen who influenced me. If it was not for this woman who raised me, who gave me a life, who stepped in and played those parenting roles due to a revolving door of failed parenting and addiction. I don’t know where I would be. Happy Birthday Granny and I love you!! ๐Ÿ˜˜. April 18, 1925- April 18, 2003. ( this pic is of my grandmother and I at my 5th grade graduation)

Signal boosting this project that March of Tigers is leading. I wonโ€™t reblog the whole list because (luckily) itโ€™s huge but do click through the link and check it out. Also, support March of Tigers by either further helping spread awareness of this resource or by contributing with further data.

Remembering Karyn Washington, Founder of “For Brown Girls”

Karyn Washington What An Amazing Young Sister

A young Black women has lost her life because she was struggling with depression and mental illness. RIP #KarynWashington . Awesome person, founder of #ForBrownGirls and #DarkSkinRedLip Project. She was dedicated to uplifting, encouraging and educating Black women. She is a #BaltimoreNative and Morgan State University student.

Mental illness is very important. Please let all of us use #KarynWashington’s death and other deaths to acknowledge that mental illness and depression is something that is REAL and something that many Black people deal with everyday. We must STOP the mental health stigma and understand that many of us need help. It is necessary.
